He left behind the golden throne,

To walk a path he’d call his own,

He saw the tears, he felt the pain,

And sought a truth beyond the chain.

Sabbe saṅkhārā dukkhā,

Sabbe dhammā anattā।

(सबै बनावट दुःखमय छन्, सबै अनात्म हुन्)

English:

No god above, no hand to guide,
