Grateful for the support shown to my previous song and OC for the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby universe, I decided to make another one, this time featuring another OC with a unique backstory.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Born into a family of soldiers dating back to the lineage of samurai, an uma grows up training for battle, becoming an elite military horse whose speed and endurance could turn the tide of a conflict. Together with her obedient and distinguished service, she had always held a dream—to let her legs carry her on the turf instead of on the battlefield, and to hear fanfare instead of war horns.
Word of her dream amidst a stellar military career reaches a trainer at the academy, who against precedent, helps her gain special admission, despite being older than the average academy trainee. Now, finally standing on the turf, she hopes to convert her experience leading the charge into becoming a first-rate front runner. To do this, she must relearn what it means to run—not to survive, but to choose her own finish line.

Verse 1
Pre-Chorus
Chorus
Back to the front
Verse 2
Pre-Chorus 2
Chorus
Back to the front

Lyrics translated from English
Verse 1
Now that I’ve returned from the front lines,
I still carry pride in my chest.
I kept my dream deep inside,
Running only for battle.
Pre-Chorus
I was given
This chance to run for my dreams.
Trainer—
You reached out your hand.
Chorus
Back to the front,
I’ll still lead the charge.
Donning my armor, sharpening my heart.
A new challenge,
A new battlefield.
With these legs, I run to seize my future.
Verse 2
Only my heartbeat grows louder.
The wind of the crowd becomes my blade.
Fear doesn’t disappear,
But I move forward—
This time, changing what victory means.
Pre-Chorus 2
The family name
I once carried—
From here on,
I’ll prove it by running.
Chorus
Back to the front,
I’ll still lead the charge.
Donning my armor, sharpening my heart.
A new challenge,
A new battlefield.
With these legs, I run to seize my future.
Bridge
My fighting spirit still burns,
It hasn’t faded at all.
Where I stand now—
This is my new front line.
Final Chorus
Back to the front,
Now is the time.
A new resolve,
A new flame.
The finish line is proof I lived.
Outro
The battlefield has changed.
But—
My fight
Begins now.
