『灰の王女』

祝いの声が聴こえる
悲鳴が続いて 私は闇の中
揺り籠に揺られて 笑っていた


空に憧れ お日様を夢みて
わたし幸せだ 優しい妹が
私を思い泣いてくれる それだけで良かった


ある時 蛇が現れて 私の目が治ると言う
なんて甘い言葉でしょう
闇に囚われた過去を捧げた
ロウソクの火だけが揺れていた


見えなかったあの頃の 薄暗い地下室は消えて
見えなかったあの頃の 惨めな私はもう居ない


祝いの宴が始まる
演奏が始まり 手渡された杯
麗しの妹がこちらを見て 笑っていた


喉が灼ける 呼吸が出来ない
私は全てを悟る 望まれてない私を
思い知らされる 世界の醜さを


その時蛇が現れて 私を美しいという
何て甘い言葉でしょう
最初から無かった愛を捧げた
渦巻く炎に全て飲まれて踊ってた


涙は枯れて 黒く張り付き
更地に咲いた一輪の花
もう何も無い……空は鈍色
もう何も無い……赤い霧
もう何も無い……世界は虚無


見えなかったあの頃の 薄暗い地下室は消えて
見えなかったあの頃の 惨めな私はもう居ない
見えなかったあの頃の 美しい世界を返して
見えなかったあの頃の 幸せな私に戻して

I can hear the voices of celebration
The screaming never ends, and I remain in darkness
Rocked gently in a cradle, I used to smile
I longed for the sky, dreamed of the sun
“I am happy,” I told myself — because my gentle little sister
Would cry for me out of love, and that alone was enough
One day, a serpent appeared and said my eyes could be healed
What sweet words they were
I offered up the past that had been trapped in darkness
Only the candle flame trembled there
That dim underground room from the days I could not see is gone
The miserable girl I once was is gone as well
The banquet of celebration begins
The music starts, a goblet is placed into my hands
My beautiful sister looked toward me and smiled
My throat burns — I cannot breathe
And in that moment, I understand everything
That I was never wanted
I am forced to witness the ugliness of this world
For a fleeting moment, the serpent appeared again and called me beautiful
What unbearably sweet words they were
I offered up a love that never truly existed
As swirling flames consumed everything, I danced within them
My tears have dried, clinging black against me
A single flower blooms upon barren ground
There is nothing left… the sky is dull gray
There is nothing left… only red mist
There is nothing left… the world is void
That dim underground room from the days I could not see is gone
The miserable girl I once was is gone as well
Give back the beautiful world I could not see back then
Return me to the happy girl I used to be
The serpent never appears again
