Not long ago, I heard a high school girl who won a gold medal in snowboarding at the Winter Olympics say, “I can’t give up on not giving up.” It really stuck with me. That heart that refuses to give up even after falling and getting hurt so many times… I wanted to write a song about that heart that won’t be persuaded, even when everyone tells you to stop.
