All Alone, In The House
Unknown
Lyrics

I can hear
The soft rain
And something's near
A window pane
I try to see
Through misty glass
But there's a tree
Moving too fast
I'm inside but something's out
Wind is howling, branches sway
A shadow moves, no room for doubt
Earlier, the cat was there, but
But now, the porch is empty, cold and gray
My heart it beats
A frantic drum
So I peek through
The window some
A figure in the night
No face in the light
Such a fright!
I'm inside but something's out
Thunder rumbles, a chilling shout
A shadow moves, no room for doubt
I was alone, no were to pout
I'm all alone
In the house
Something's lurking
Prowling about
I can't escape
This nightmare shape
My soul to take!
But then I see
It's just the tree
Scratching the glass
In the dark!
