so damn tired of being me.

always hidden in my empty room,

the one that no-one sees.

no idle chatter, no funny jokes,

just tears that fall,

and me that chokes.

i'm scared of heights, but i'd still fly,

to see the world for one last time.

i'd close my eyes and just let go,

crash in a place that no-one knows.

grab my hand and take me high,

up to the clouds, then let me fall.

just let me go and don't ask why,

this is the plan, the curtain call.

i'm exhausted...

so damn exhausted by this life.

every breath i dare to take,

is another nail drilled in my brain.

every step i fail to make,

just leads back to pain again.

i can't keep running up a hill,

a cliff that never seems to end.

i'm too close to being broken,

i am already fully bent.

i'm scared to crack, but i 'd still fall,

just to have a chance to finally end it all.

i'd hold on tight, keep the pieces in my hand,

make a neat little pile, where ever i would land.

grab my hand and pull me near,

up close until you see the void.

pretend you can't feel my fear,

this is the fate i can't avoid!

grab a lighter, build a pyre,

sit and watch the flames rise higher.

watch the ashes of my life,

fly away on midnight winds.

see the truth behind my eyes,

all the pain i had to hide.

hold your breath,

look real close,

this is the end,

of a mental overdose.

of a story never told,

but lived a million times.

one where you can't help,

only stand on the sidelines.

look in my eyes and say goodbye,
