Lyrics
intro
Oh, oh...
Oh...yeah!
verse 1
Hey, buddy where have you been
Are you lost in the sauce again
All the faces begin to blend
Drownin' in a bottle of gin
Did you make it out in the end
chorus
He's just a friend I know
Yeah, give him a chance
Just a friend I know
Doing the best he can
Just a friend I know
Yeah, he's back again
post chorus
He's just a friend I know...
He's just a friend I know...
breakdown 1
Oh yeah...
On the hunt...
Hey, yeah...
On the hunt...
bridge
My buddy hasn't been seen in weeks
He's gone in the bottle way too deep
The women are gettin' no sleep
Never should have let him leave
Oh yeah
She thinks she knows the reason why
He left without sayin' goodbye
The day that the bottle ran dry
He went for a stroll into the night
chorus
He's just a friend I know
Yeah, give him a chance
Just a friend I know
Doing the best he can
Just a friend I know
Yeah, he's back again
breakdown 2
Oh yeah...
He's on the run...
Hey, yeah...
He's on the run...
chorus
He's just a friend I know
Yeah, give him a chance
Just a friend I know
Doing the best he can
Just a friend I know
Yeah, he's back again
post chorus
He's just a friend I know...
He's just a friend I know...
verse 2
Hey, buddy will you ever come back
Find your way to familiar paths
Put everything back on track
His woman has been here all alone
She's missin' him and you know he knows
Can he find his way and come back home
chorus
He's just a friend I know
Yeah, give him a chance
Just a friend I know
Doing the best he can
Just a friend I know
Yeah, he's back again
He's just a friend I know...
He's just a friend I know...
He's just a friend I know...
