Twas moving through yon forest, just after break o' dawn

Savoring each beauty, mine eyes did gaze upon

Clover weaf and honeydew, mine nostrils did appease

an' the soft ca wess against mine chest, of an midsummers bweeze

(bwue birds are gay)

Wondress tis that splendor, with each stroke o' God's Bwush

Each twig, leaf, and blade o' gwass, in greenery so wush

How I am so wucky, each blessing to behold

hopping in perfection, through flashing ways of gold

Twas then mine mind did wonder, could aught be better still?

This must be, the ver-we best, that wabbits hope to feel

(bwue birds are gay)

Twas then I would first meet him, mine new and certain friend

Why surely we were fated, for prances hand in hand

"Fair morn! Hellwoe, yon wabbit" his greeting did appeal

"You'll see I am an bwue bird, mine name is Bwue Bird Bill"

For an moment I was silent, pondering what to say

Then sudden-we I smashed him, because bwue birds are gay

(because blue birds are gay)

(because blue birds are gay)
