Swingin’ Over Susie
country, Rowdy modern country bar-banger with big live band energy. Fiddle and twangy lead guitar lock in over stomping kick, claps, and a walking bass. Verses keep it tight and storytelling-focused; choruses explode with gang vocals, stacked harmonies, and crowd “woah”s. Male vocals with a grin in the delivery, lots of call-and-response ad-libs, and a playful tempo shift in the bridge before the final chorus hits hardest.

Lyrics
Verse 1
Neon buzzin’, Friday crowd
Boots on sawdust, music loud
She walked in, that sundress sway
Every cowboy lost his way
He bumped my shoulder, spilled my drink
Said, “Son, she’s mine,” with a crooked wink
I set my glass down, smiled real slow
“Guess we’ll let the good Lord show”
Chorus
We were swingin’ over Susie in the middle of the floor
Two fools tradin’ punches like we’re fightin’ for the Lord
Till she stomped her heel and shouted,
“Boys, what are you doin’?”
Now we’re laughin’ at the bruise
High-fivin’ over Susie (woah-oh)
Yeah, we both about to lose
But this story’s kinda groovy
Verse 2
Jukebox skipped, the room went still
I caught his right hook on pure will
Chairs were scootin’, phones were out
Old man barkeep yelled, “Take it out!”
He swung wild, I slipped past
We both ended up flat on our backs
She looked down, hands on hips
Sunshine fury on her lips
Chorus
Bridge
[low vocal register] She said, “I ain’t some trophy
You win with busted jaws”
[building drums] “You want a shot with me, boys?
Start learnin’ how to pause”
[guitars open up] We helped each other off the ground
Blood on boots, pride beat down
Then she grinned, “Y’all buy a round”
And the whole bar shook with sound (hey!)
Chorus
