do you hear the silent cry?

do you even know why?

god has sown the seeds tender leaves still pale

springtime shaped their days into one bright tale

they knew not their time nor what they’d become

god will cut the grain the harvest has come

god has sown the seeds golden heads now sway

full and heavy grown in the heat of day

they had felt the weight of what they’d become

god will cut the grain the harvest has come

have you looked into the blind sun?

do you hear the silent cry?

where will you hide when all comes down?

do you even know why?

fall to the ground your body is numb

blade flashes in the light

and the day of the lord will come

like a thief in the night

did you kneel before the blade’s gleam?

did you believe the lie?

will you still sleep inside the dream

as the fire walks by?

fall to the ground your body is numb

blade flashes in the light

and the day of the lord will come

like a thief in the night

god is now cutting the grain

so you hear the silent cry

you are standing in the rain

you don't need to know why
