First thing this morning, I pour a hot cup of black

Then I read all the world's misery, there's no turning back

Pour another coffee, just to stare at the wall

If I can find the energy, I might eat after all

Pour a third cup of coffee, draw the curtains real tight

Let the television babysit me into the night

Just sitting in the dark, without any strife

Living on caffeine and staring at the wall

Time drags on slowly, time for dinner, I guess

I throw something in the microwave, couldn't care less

Do I wash up the dishes? Oh, please, give me a break

I will leave that for tomorrow, for my sanity's sake

Pour another dark coffee, start up Netflix again

Just another episode, I don't care about the end
