the sun comes up, i'm still awake,

tired to death, but forced to stay.

the clock on the wall keeps ticking,

and my life just fades away...

i look up, but nothing's changed,

it's all the same, just re-arranged...

i want to scream, but can't make a sound,

my voice is broken, it just won't come out.

i'm stuck in place and i can't move,

frozen solid, nothing left to do...

the night passed, it's just a blur,

can't remember what i've done.

i'm left to pick up the pieces,

and figure out what i've become.

i look down with tired eyes,

watching like another person,

as another part of me dies...

my tears are falling, hitting the floor like stones,

eroding the place that i called home.

there's no relief, the distance grows,

i'm stuck in a place that no one knows...

i'm losing what i am,

losing who i used to be.

the walls i built are crumbling,

but not to set me free.

i'm buried in the rubble,

hidden far from sight.

and i don't have the energy,

to keep standing in this fight.

i watch as i bleed,

i watch as i fall,

but i can't scream,

can't even call.

no power left,

no strength inside.

all i can do,

is cry and hide...

i'm only a whisper in a world that's unaware,

a distant silhouette too far away for anyone to care.

as time goes and fades, so will i,

no release, just a silent "why?"

i've lost my life so long ago,

been dragging on to keep up the show.

what once was there is now long gone,
