A blues-rock track with a driving rhythm section, featuring a male vocalist with a deep, resonant voice. The instrumentation includes electric guitar, bass, drums, and a prominent harmonica. The song has a moderate tempo and a shuffle feel. The guitar plays a mix of rhythmic chords and melodic fills. The harmonica provides bluesy counter-melodies and solos. The drums maintain a consistent beat with a strong backbeat. The bass provides a walking bass line. The production is clean with a slight reverb on the vocals and instruments, giving it a live, raw feel. The song structure follows a typical verse-chorus form with instrumental breaks. The key appears to be in a minor mode, contributing to the bluesy feel. The vocal delivery is expressive and slightly raspy, emphasizing the storytelling aspect of the lyrics.

Lyrics
Lone horse fell by the wayside.
Man don't bother to pick it up,
Last bone vanished late one night,
Even the remains had had enough
Don't know if you remember me,
Have you seen my face before,
Nah, didn't think as much,
Been driftin' in and out of your consciousness,
I just lack the human touch,
I'm one in a million, it gets crowded up in here, yeah,
Tried wearin' something funny, but the wind carried it away, yeah,
Mediocrity is calling, and apathy is falling, call me again tomorrow,
and you'll ask my name again it's apalling,
But that's just how it is, I guess, man, why,
Memory sure can be a mess, sometimes.
Lone horse fell by the wayside.
Man don't bother to pick it up,
Last bone vanished late one night,
Even the remains had had enough
Suppose what's wrong with being forgotten,
I guess I didn't do anything awful enough,
Better to die lost and proud, than downtrodden,
But I'll admit being in the shadows can be tough,
Yeah, feel like a poltergeist, a ghost, and I,
Hope you all might remember the first initial once I'm done,
Don't wanna carry it all on my own, and,
Done crying all alone, and..
Time's been hard,
Just a lone forgotten bard,
Think of how many in the past,
Whose voices didn't last, and,
So far, so lucky, so long.
At least I can record you a song.
Lone horse fell by the wayside.
Man don't bother to pick it up,
Last bone vanished late one night,
Even the remains had had enough
Lone horse fell by the wayside.
Man don't bother to pick it up,
Last bone vanished late one night,
Even the remains had had enough
Even the remains
Had had,
Enough,

Okay, fine, yeah.. this one DOES get a little weird after the 30 sec mark. I came up with the idea while on the way to a party, and got kinda annoyed that I couldn't just go home to start working on this. One of the few times that a final song pretty much matched my initial vision for it entirely. I edited it pretty extensively, but I think the end result is pretty cool! Hope y'all enjoy it!
