Lyrics
Intro
Sound of radio static, a 1930s Australian news report about "the emu menace" fades in and out. It's abruptly cut by the deep, distorted, funky slap of a single bass note from the Bulldron. A fast, four-on-the-floor rave beat kicks in. Aiko's shamisen plays a catchy, pentatonic riff.
[Mila, with a thick, playful Hollywood Russian accent]: Davai! Aiko-chan, reality is boring. Let's break it, da?
Verse 1: Aiko
The groove settles. Her voice is elegant, powerful, with a hint of City Pop sweetness and a slight Japanese accent. The shamisen melody dances around her words.
Black and white bird, a boring design
Stealing the rhythm, crossing the line
Got my shamisen, black, white and red
Time to reboot the funk inside your head.
Verse 2: Mila
The Bulldron bassline becomes the lead instrument, greasy and confident. Her rap is boastful and fun.
Magenta Phoenix is here, detka, feel the ground shake
These grey little chickens make a big mistake
One string I pull, the dimension will bend
This boring grey party is about to end!
Pre-Chorus: Aiko & Mila, call and response
[Aiko]: The prophecy is written in the groove...
[Mila]: The rhyme of the warrior is the final move!
[Aiko]: The name must be spoken!
[Mila]: The beat must be broken!
Chorus: Aiko & Mila, shouting with JoJo-esque intensity over the explosive rave beat
[Sound of a shamisen power chord] ¡FUNK CARMESÍ DE OTAWA!
[Sound of a deep bass slide] ¡DIMENSIÓN DEL GROOVE OKINAWA!
Beat drops for a half-second of silence, then crashes back in with double the energy
¡RITMO FINAL... WA-TAA!!!
We drop the beat and the universe is ours!
Bridge
The music drops to a tense, minimalist beat. Just the electronic kick drum and a hypnotic shamisen loop. The vibe is cool and focused, very Cowboy Bebop.
[Aiko, whispering]: Three little buttons on my K'tero...
[Mila, whispering]: Odin... Dva... Tri...
[Aiko]: Pushing the buttons... setting the funk free. See you, Space Cowboy...
Chorus: Aiko & Mila
The chorus explodes again, even more epic and energetic, with added synth arpeggios and vocal ad-libs.
¡FUNK CARMESÍ DE OTAWA!
¡DIMENSIÓN DEL GROOVE OKINAWA!
¡RITMO FINAL... WA-TAA!!!
We drop the beat and the universe is ours!
Outro
The beat cuts abruptly. Only the sound of Aiko's shamisen playing the main riff, which glitches and distorts. It ends with the sound of a classic arcade button being pressed. Silence.
[Aiko, satisfied whisper]: K'tero.
End
