A psalm and song for the Dedication, of the house of David.

I will extol thee, O Lord

thou hast lifted me upward

thou hast not made my foes

to rejoice over me and my woes

O Lord my God

I cried unto thee

thou hast healed me once again (you heal me)

O Lord, my soul thou hast brought up

from the grave where I sit

Keeping my life that I

go not down to the pit

Sing unto the Lord, O saints!

You are his!

Give thanks to Him!

Remember his holiness!

For in his favour, is life!

His anger is but a moment

Weeping may endure for the night

Eternal joy in the morning, it cometh!

And in my prosperity I said

I shall never be moved again.

Lord, by thy favour thou hast

made my mountain stand strong:

Thou didst hide thy face,

and I was troubled long.

I cried to thee,

O Lord, Holy One

and unto thee

Lord I made supplication.

What profit is there in my blood spilling?

When within the pit I am consumed?

Shall then the dust praise thee?

Shall then the dust declare thy truth?

O Lord my God

I cried unto thee

thou hast healed me once again (you heal me)

O Lord, my soul thou hast brought up

from the grave where I sit

Keeping my life that I

go not down to the pit

Sing unto the Lord, O saints!

You are his!

Give thanks to Him!

Remember his holiness!

Hear, O Lord,

have mer-cy on me

My helper, Lord

Be thou my help-meet!

For me thou hast turned around

My mourning turned to dancing

Thou hast put my sackcloth to the ground

With gladness thou has girded me

To the end that my glory may sing

praise to thee, and not be silent henceforth

O Lord my God of eternity

I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Sing unto the Lord, O saints!

You are his!

Give thanks to Him!

Remember his holiness!
