"星の降る夜に、君の願いを叶えてあげられたら"

そう書きかけた言葉が、夜の底でわずかに軋む。
空は深く、光は細かくほどけて、
触れようとしても、うまくいかない。
そのとき、君が言った。
「それ、少し高いところからじゃない？」
やわらかな声だったのに、
水面に落ちた小石みたいに、静かに波紋が広がる。
僕の中のどこかで、
言葉の立っていた場所が、わずかに傾いた。
願いは、誰かが誰かに託すものではなくて、
もっと曖昧で、もっと手に負えないものだって。
夜の気配に混じって、
寄る辺なく漂っているようなもの。
空を見上げる。
星は降りそうで降らないまま、
それぞれの距離で、ただ輝き続けて。
近づきすぎることも、遠ざかることもなく。
だから、言い直そう。

"星の降る夜に、同じ夢を見よう"

叶えるでもなく、与えるでもなく、
ただ、同じ暗がりの中で、
同じ光を見ているということ。
君の中にある願いのそれと、
僕の中にあるそれが、
ゆっくりと重なり、にじみ、
どちらのものとも言えなくなってく。
夜は何も答えない。
それでも、さっきまでより少しだけやわらかく、
僕たちのあいだに居場所を見つけたよう。
届くかどうかは、もう問題じゃない。
ただ、この瞬間、同じ夢を見ていることが、
静かに、確かに、ここにある。

"If, on a night when the stars are falling, I could grant your wish."

The words I was about to write creak faintly at the bottom of the night.
The sky is deep, the light unravels into fine threads,
and when I try to touch it, it slips away.

Then you say,
“Isn’t that a little from above?”

Your voice is gentle,
yet like a small stone dropped on water,
it sends quiet ripples outward.

Somewhere inside me,
the place where those words had been standing
tilts, just a little.

A wish isn’t something one person hands to another.
It’s more ambiguous than that, more ungraspable—
something that drifts, without an anchor,
mingling with the presence of the night.

I look up.
The stars seem as if they might fall, yet do not,
each continuing to shine at its own distance,
neither too close nor too far.

So I say it again.

"On a night when the stars are falling, let’s dream the same dream."

Not granting, not giving—
just being in the same darkness,
seeing the same light.

The shape of the wish within you
and the one within me
slowly overlap, blur,
until they can no longer be told apart.

The night answers nothing.
And yet, softer than before,
it feels as though it has found a place between us.

Whether it reaches anywhere is no longer the point.
Only this—
that in this moment, we are dreaming the same dream—
quietly, certainly, here.
