Woke up mid thought

Didn’t know where the sentence started

Half dressed, heart stressed

Three tabs open in my head and none of them make sense

Tried to brush my teeth

Ended up rearranging my closet

Spilled coffee on a journal

Now it looks like my brain had a meltdown on the page

Don’t box me in

I’ll rip through the seams

Your “normal” is a cage

But I breathe in extremes

Let me spiral, let me spark

I’m the wild in the dark

Don’t medicate my soul

I was never meant to be whole

I don’t need calm

I am the storm

Racing every red light in my skull

Interrupt myself just to make a better point

Forget what I was saying

But damn, it felt important

My ideas are fireworks

No fuse

Just bang

Shiny things distract me

Just like that deer in Peter Rabbit

Then bam I’m thinking

Wait… did he really diss my cilantro?

Yeah you know who you are rude

Oh right back to the song

About my ADHD mind

Where side quests are the main plot

And punchlines are survival

They say “Rose that wasn’t funny, that was rude”

But in my head? Hilarious

Not me crying on the inside like

Damn I did it again

I am misunderstood and judged

But this is how I breathe how I cope how I shine

So let me say it loud in the language that raised me because nice ain’t working and I’m done explaining

Me da ansiedad me saca de quicio

Pa’ ti que vives fingiendo también

Gracias por el consejo sarcástico y hueco

Como si tu “normal” no fuera un puto muñeco

Yo no encajo no quiero no intento

Prefiero romper todo a fingir contento

Estoy harta de explicarme de justificar

De caminar en puntas solo pa’ no molestar

No te gusta pues sigue que no voy a cambiar

Y ahora volvemos al caos programado sin disculpas solo yo

No termino

Yo evoluciono

Cambio de rumbo a mitad de tarea me congelo a mitad de palabra

¿Quién necesita puntuación cuando tengo impulso?

El tiempo es un chiste

Las fechas límite son depredadores

Y yo solo trato de correr más rápido que la niebla

Con brillo en mis zapatos

Y mil pestañas parpadeando en mi alma

Ja prefiero explotar

Esto no es caos es creación

Estoy cableada para el genio pero a veces hago cortocircuito

Yo lo llamo vivir en alta definición

Aunque esté pixelada y llena de estática

No trates de arreglarme

No me pidas que baje la velocidad

Tengo universos floreciendo detrás de mis ojos

Aunque olvide dónde estacioné la cordura

Sigo volando

Sigo ardiendo

Sigo siendo yo

Así que voy a gritar

Olvidar la letra

Inventar otra

Perder el hilo
