The Light We Found: Dedicated to Marie and Pierre Curie
Tempo: ♩ = 68–72 (Andante con passione) Gentle, unhurried pace — like slow breathing between lovers in deep concentration. The rhythm should feel natural, as if each word is part of a quiet revelation. Instrumentation: • Piano: Foundation of emotion — warm, legato arpeggios in the lower register; occasional high notes glimmer like sparks of light in the lab. • Strings (violin + cello): Soft sustained harmonies that swell gently in each chorus; a cello solo can echo the bridge line “They said it was danger, they said it was dream.” • Optional harp or glockenspiel: to add a shimmering “radioactive glow” quality in the chorus. • Vocals: Mezzo-soprano or lyric tenor — expressive vibrato, intimate diction, as if whispering through candlelight.

Lyrics
The love between Marie and Pierre Curie and their passion for science have been my lifetime inspiration. Ever since I was a child, they were my calibers and inspiration. There is a Hollywood movie "Madam Curie" based on their love story and their discovery of Polonium and Radium
Verse 1
In the silence of the night lab,
Glass flasks shimmered, pale and shy,
You and I, two dreamers tracing
Stars that fell into our sky.
Our hands trembled, yet were steady,
Through the cold, the endless hours,
Every spark, a breath of longing,
Every gleam, a field of flowers.
Chorus
From the dust, we drew the light,
From the darkness, born was white,
A name like hope "Polonium",
The secret glow of love begun.
Even as the shadows grew,
The fire kept burning, me and you.
Verse 2
You smiled, and the air grew warmer,
Through the lead and pitchblende rain,
The world outside was sleeping,
But in our hearts a radiant flame.
What we found was more than matter,
More than numbers, more than years,
It was trust, it was surrender,
It was light that conquers tears.
Chorus
From the dust, we drew the light,
From the darkness, born was white,
A name like hope "Polonium",
The secret glow of love begun.
Even as the shadows grew,
The fire kept burning me and you.
Bridge
They said it was danger, they said it was dream,
Yet we kept on walking through that silver gleam.
Your hand in mine no fear, no end,
Only the light that love can send.
Final Chorus
From the dust, we drew the light,
From the night, we gave the world sight,
Though time may fade, our atoms stay
A glow that will not fade away.
Polonium, our heart, our sun,
Forever bright two souls as one.
