注(*1) レンタルShop
かつて日本中の街角にあり長く親しまれてきたレンタルCDショップ。大きな転機となったのは、2015年のApple Musicなどの音楽サブスクの上陸と、2016年後半〜2017年にかけてのビルボード・ジャパンによるチャート合算(CD販売数に加えストリーミング再生回数を重視する仕組みへの変更)で、これを境に日本の音楽市場はサブスクへと急速にシフトしたんだそう。現在では店舗数は減少したものの、古い作品を探すケースなど、時代と共にその役割を変えながら存続しているとのこと。
