不同桃李混芳塵

獨倚寒枝傲霜雪

Lyrics English Translation:

Amidst the snowy woods I stand alone,

Unlike the peach or plum that’s widely known.

Leaning on a frozen branch, I face the chill,

Through frost and storm, I linger still.

Suddenly, one night, a fragrance breaks—

It spreads and paints the world with spring’s embrace.

Unafraid of cold, I rise with grace,

And smile at the world in its newborn face.

The plum in frost holds strong and bright,

Its blush unchanged, its heart alight.

Let wind and rain come as they will—

In snow and ice, spring’s dream is still.

The warming breeze brings springtime near,

Its fragrance colors the atmosphere.

The plum has watched the years go by,

Now sees all flowers bloom and sky.

Though trapped in ice, my heart stays warm,

Unafraid of winter’s storm.

Alone I bloom, with pride I shine,

Where spring winds blow, my scent aligns.
