Lyrics
Verse 1
I was so angry,
In my pocket, 단돈 천원, 나의 일주일 치 용돈
When the sun was going down, 어두워질 때
The truck driver
I'm going home, yeah
Verse 2
I fell asleep
다음 날 아침 a new morning
Oh my god.
It tasted strangely good

Verse 1
I used to hate shopping for clothes when I was a kid.
My mom said she'd buy me tteokbokki.
But when we got to the market, she changed her tune.
She said she'd only buy me tteokbokki if I bought pants first.
I was so angry, so I ran away.
In my pocket, I had just a thousand wonmy entire week's allowance.
As the sun was going down and it was getting dark,
I saw a blue one-ton truck in the distance.
With the last sack in front of him,
the truck driver yelled,
"Clearance! Everything's a thousand won!"
All the different sweet potato dishes took over my mind.
It was my life's first all-in investment
a sack of sweet potatoes for a thousand won.
I struggled with the sack, which was as big as me.
I'm going home, yeah.
"It's heavy and dark, so be careful," the man said with a smile.
I answered his greeting with a smile of my own.
Verse 2
I was so tired when I got home, it was so hard.
My mom's nagging was just background music to me.
I smiled and said one thing,
"Mom, I invested all my allowance and bought sweet potatoes!"
My mom was so baffled that she just made me dinner.
I washed up, ate, and fell asleep right away.
The next morning was a new day.
My dad was diligently peeling something.
I heard my mom's loud voice from behind me,
"You bought it, so you eat it all."
But... I froze when I saw what my dad was peeling.
It wasn't a sweet potato.
Oh no. It was a dirt-covered carrot.
I don't even like carrots in curry... Oh my god.
My beloved dad ate the carrots with me,
and after eating them for a full three days, I realized something.
It tasted strangely good.
I had fallen for the sweet taste of carrots.
The sweet potatoes I invested in,
The carrots I came to love, yeah.
