this is not me
A high-energy instrumental piece featuring a distorted electric guitar as the lead instrument, accompanied by a driving drum beat and a prominent bass line. The guitar plays a fast, melodic riff with heavy distortion and occasional whammy bar dives. The drums provide a consistent rock rhythm with a strong kick and snare, and the bass guitar lays down a solid foundation with a walking bass line. The tempo is fast, and the overall feel is aggressive and energetic. The song structure is primarily a repeating guitar riff with variations in intensity and occasional fills from the drums. There are no vocals present in this piece. The production emphasizes the raw, distorted sound of the guitar, with a clear and punchy drum mix.

Return of the Clichés
The obvious is granted,
the world a playground
Arms and legs
rounded off in conversation,
as if imagining a feverish cricket
short on limbs.
To spill into the other,
or wash ashore there
it’s something you can learn
on the tip of the tongue,
with some willingness
or a sort of soft
belief in the old parables.
The kinds of stories can be counted
on a single belly
full of hands
The transmission,
the vain,
overconfident foals lie around mountains,
hills and heaps
stacked clichés for later.
The earth is ripe now,
the fruit ready to be picked,
the untamable patience.
After years of experience
you find things again
as they were laid in your mouth like foundlings
simple, decent, the expression explicit
as in older times,
weathered figures
who shut every mouth
with a few anointed bon mots.
You begin to temper things,
to turn toward an older person
out of mischief, defiance,
or disbelief in the years of advantage
so full of conviction
you miss the ball, sometimes.
