#AIU CHRISTMAS CONTEST
Everything was already messy with my parents’ divorce, and right in the middle of all that they dropped something on me that honestly shook my whole world. They told me that the dad who raised me, isn’t actually my biological father. I’m eighteen. I’ve gone my whole life completely oblivious, thinking everything was normal, and suddenly they’re telling me the man who raised me since I was two isn’t my blood.
And then they told me about my biological dad. How he didn’t want me, how he “wasn’t ready” to be a dad. My mom said she felt like she had to do everything herself, had to chase him down just to get him to be active in my life. He was there for my birth, and then it just… wasn’t working out. And she met the man who raised me when I was two, and he stepped in and became my dad.
And now, all these years later, they just tell me. Eighteen years of not knowing, and suddenly I’m carrying this truth that I didn’t even ask for. I’m in shock. Like genuinely stunned, because I had no clue. None.
And the craziest part is I’m actually in contact with my biological father now. After all this time. It feels so strange, like talking to someone who’s supposed to be important to me but also feels like a total stranger. I’m still trying to process it. I’m still surprised. I don’t even know how to feel yet.

Verse I
I’ve never been in love before, but your teary eyes woke up my soul, my baby girl, I’m sorry I couldn't know ya
I’ve dreamt of you, look how you grew, a whispered name from my lips I drew, Oh sweet young thing, you’ve really bloomed, oh hallelujah
I’ve made mistakes before, but love for you fills every pore, no gift from you is more precious than forgiveness
My girl was so small but here she is standing tall, deck the halls and engraved its… hallelujah
Pre-Chorus
Ooooohhh Hallelujah my baby girl let me know ya
Let me make up for lost time let me look inside your eyes this Christmas I only ask for forgiveness
Chorus
No need for Santa Claus no need for Christmas cheer
My Christmas Miracle is right here
The love of my heart no longer apart
My Christmas miracle is right here
My Christmas miracle is right here
Hallelujah (your right here daddy)
Hallelujah (I’m right here baby girl)
OOHH my Christmas miracle (my Christmas miracle) Our Christmas miracle is right here
