Behind each cage,

a thousand never made it through.

Behind each purchase,

lies a pain that should never exist.

We are the last wave standing,

the voice refusing to fall.

If the Earth forgets to breathe,

who will teach us how at all?

We call this ruin “our world”,

losing more every day.

If we do nothing now,

it is we

who will fade away.

Dolphins sink into darkness,

with no one to remember their names.

Turtles drown in drifting nets

no fisherman ever claims.

Whales carry scars

from wars they never fought.

And we dare to call it love

to cage a lonely bird —

blind to the price

our comfort cost.

They bleed in silence,

so we can speak out loud.

We are the last wave standing…

Billions move in shadows,

feeding the third

great engine of death.

Cold tubes cradle agony;

stacked lives pay the price

of beauty in distant halls.

Labels say “free”,

but no one knows where the meat was born

or where the guilt has gone.

And where power speaks,

eyes will not see —

or choose not to.

A flock without wings

is only a memory.

A song without a forest

is dust in the wind.

In the end,

it isn’t the animal

who lives imprisoned —

it is us.
