I've learned about the world…

Through sleepless nights, a fiery trial I met,

“My soul is dead,” I whispered in despair,

In blocks of pain and doubt, my spirit set,

No spark remained; I felt so utterly alone there.

I told myself my soul had turned to stone,

Where dreams of whimsy, madness in their art,

No ember glows; my longing had outgrown,

Would never trouble my repaired, serene heart.

And wild desires and dreams of reckless flight

Around its walls, a floral kingdom grows,

Would never break my peace, so pure and bright.

To mend the spirit where serenity flows.

And rebel dreams and passions burning bright

Just when I learned to live in calm accord,

Would never touch the peace I now behold.

And wrapped my shoulders in a lonely cord,

Won't touch the peace that fills me with its light.

I slowly walked into illusion’s fray;

Believe it or not, time heals along the way…
