I saw you in the moonlit rain

Spinning circles in your candy cane shoes

The world felt upside down

And I didn’t mind the view

Whimsical hearts

They dance

They sway

Skipping beats like a child at play

You and me

We're a paper plane

Flying crooked but never in vain

Your laugh's a kite caught in the breeze

Pulling me higher with every tease

We wrote our names on the clouds above

In a language only we could love

Do you hear it

The carousel tune

Spinning round

Under the cartoon moon

Whimsical hearts

They dance

They sway

Skipping beats like a child at play

You and me

We're a paper plane

Flying crooked but never in vain

The stars winked twice

They know our game

The sun blushed red when I spoke your name

We're a circus act with no safety net

And I wouldn't trade one moment yet
