「柊」
モクセイ科の常緑小高木で、晩秋に白い芳香のある花を咲かせます。
若い葉の縁には鋭いトゲがあり、成長するとトゲが少なくなり、全縁の葉になります。
柊の棘には２つの役割があります。１つは若木のときに外敵から自身を守ること、もう一つは魔除けの道具として誰かを守ること。この曲は柊の棘の「個性」と「可能性」をテーマにしています。
