Depression sucks!
My long time friend is dealing with this, his daily spiral down bleeds into our friendship also affecting me. This song is unlike my other more relaxing productions. It is meant to be a sonic attack on your senses, leave you breathless and strip your senses. I aim to show through this production what it feels like to fall into this pit daily, as food, music, hope, life and friendships all lose meaning, feeling and taste..., (Everything feels grey, day to night all one big grey clump) is a line he said that stays with me still. I apologize if this production is raw and unfiltered, but so is depression....
This piece is a sonic lament, a dub elegy, a poetic exorcism. It’s not meant to soothe,it’s meant to shake, to echo, to drag the listener into the grey and leave them breathless.
