Woke up in the morning without any of my alarms.

A truly rare way for my great day off to really start.

The floor's cold as stone.

Preparing the coffee, and shower to begin my day.

No sounds to disturb me, only wind that would slowly fade.

The movement of branches creates music with all its leaves.

I peacefully breathe.

While I drink my warm coffee, I'm wishing to never leave

A warm hug, a soft kiss, your one love, friends you miss, or family you gladly greet.

The smile of my friends stares back at me from the picture frames.

Some figurines and objects that bring memories like waves.

Family pictures of those with me and of those who've passed

Nothing ever lasts

All of these are reminders that life can go really fast.

Daily stress and work that takes our time away.

As night has arrived, I get ready to go to my bed

No work done all day, I chose to feel peace and calm instead

Remembering my day, I smile more than ever before.
