I'll see night in the middle of day

A starless black sky above

I'll see everything turn to gray

And the earth beneath my feet won't be earth anymore

It will no longer hold me up

And fire, I'll find, won't be fire anymore

It won't warm my trembling hands

And water, I'll find, won't be water anymore

It won't quench my thirst

And wind, I'll find, won't be wind anymore

It won't carry my songs

The memories we shared now haunt empty rooms

Like ghosts that refuse to leave

The silence between us grows louder each day

As I slowly learn how to grieve

When he stops loving me

I'll see a stranger in my mirror

See how hollow my eyes become

I'll feel emptiness inside my chest

And all the elements will turn their backs on me

Like he did without a trace

All the elements will speak his name
