Where monsters reign,

A glowing green spiral

Twists and sways.

Drifting gracefully down

Like an emerald chain,

Down into the abyss

Far beneath the waves.

It dances and swirls

Through the cavernous dome,

A luminescent swirl

Finding its home

Among the darkening walls

As its glow starts to wane,

The Covetous Serpent

Severing the chain.

The Styx is born

On our dusty shore

From Monsters unmade,

Hunting no more.

A darkening spiral,

The Serpent's claim,

Brings famine now

To Divine domains.

But in the Nocturne,

Our hopes intertwine

As the glowing waters

Reach towards the sky.

A thready chain drifting

To gates locked tight.

Headwaters no longer,

Merely vapors in the night.

The Styx is fading...

Its currents are dying...

The Ferrymen rest,

Their ships no longer flying.

With care they're wrapped,

Braving sandy blight,

Awaiting the dawn

For calmer daylight.

Oh, serpentine glow,

Like a beacon so rare,

Strain now against

The looming despair.

With glittering echoes,

Nocturne aligns

As the spiral ascends

To break our binds.
