I found a castle made of wobbling light,

Shining pink and green in the dead of night.

Every wall was breathing sugar and doubt,

I stepped inside—now I can’t get out.

The guards all giggled, the floor went “splat”,

Someone said, “Careful where you stand, old chap.”

Jelly Castle, wobble and shake,

Every step’s a terrible mistake.

Jelly Castle, sticky and sweet,

Can’t tell the ground from the roof beneath.

Laugh too loud and the towers fall,

Welcome home to the Jelly Castle.

The king wore crowns made of raspberry glaze,

Said, “Nothing here lasts more than days.”

The queen dissolved in a strawberry sigh,

Said, “Don’t get comfy, darling—try not to cry.”

I asked for truth, they handed me jam,

Said, “That’s as solid as it gets, my friend.”

Jelly Castle, wobble and shake,

Built on a wish I shouldn’t make.

Jelly Castle, soft as a lie,

Looks so strong till you lean too high.

Bite the walls, hear the ceiling call,

Welcome home to the Jelly Castle.

“Stone is boring…”

“Steel is cruel…”

“Here everything melts…”

“…including you.”

Jelly Castle, shake it again,

Nothing survives but the sugar and rain.

Jelly Castle, laugh till it breaks,

Reality bends for dessert’s sake.

If the world must fall, let it fall this way—
