Found a rusted gate

Past the last dead-end sign

Down a road they never paved

Where the weeds stand high

Breathing in dust and pine

Let their noise fall off my back

All their hungry little eyes

Can’t follow my tracks

This is my place of peace

Built my shelter with my scars
