I learned that if someone loves you,

they won’t hide behind a “maybe” or pause.

I learned that if they want to talk to you,
they leave their pride aside as well,

before everyone else… before themselves.

There are no excuses when there’s desire,

It doesn’t leave when problems rise,

And I learned that loving isn’t absence,

I learned that real love
