Modern Gothic Metal Ballad with atmospheric mood, slow to mid tempo around 80 BPM. Dark, restrained instrumentation with sustained electric guitars, low distortion, long sustain, minimal effects. Soft cinematic strings and subtle pads supporting emotional depth, never overpowering the vocal. Drums are deep and controlled, steady kick and solid snare, no blast, no busy fills. Female lead vocal is clear, thin yet strong, emotional and focused, slightly nasal resonance, sharp articulation, sorrowful but resilient tone. Vocal must be extremely upfront, dry and intimate, very little reverb, centered in the mix. No muffled sound, no distant vocal, no haze. Instruments must stay behind the vocal at all times. Chorus grows in intensity but vocal clarity is always dominant. Mood is sorrow transforming into strength, pain becoming inner fire, quiet endurance rather than rage.
