i woke up today and didn’t feel a thing,

no sadness, no pain, no nothing at all.

i know i should be happy, but this is wrong,

somehow it's worse than being in pain.

numbness fills my mind,

a lingering dread i can’t avoid...

is this the other option?

i watch the world, but it feels unreal,

faces move, but they don’t feel alive.

every word i speak just disappears,

like echoes fading into the night.

nothing feels like mine,

just static humming in my bones...
