Welcome To The Vault [SSC7 Sample Challenge]
Driven by crisp production, compressed vocals lead over tight, punchy drums, angular post-punk bass, sharp violin riffs, vibrant string section, and glitchy indietronica synths in the verses. Pre-chorus swells with rich strings, then choruses explode into blazing synths, soaring strings, and heavy rhythms, before cutting back abruptly to sparse, percussive verses for intense dynamic shifts.

Lyrics
Welcome to the vault,
Getting you locked up tight,
Tied to the inch of your life,
Pinch, pinch, you're awake,
And locked inside,
Alright, (alright)
Grab the rope, join the line,
You're mine, you're mine, sunshine,
Don't let screams, and, screech,
From the creaking door,
Terrorize your soul, no more,
I don't think we have the time, and-
Move, move,
One step, two step, then another,
Nothin' left to discover, and-
We all want to be outside lookin' in,
But boy, your luck was wearin' thin,
Born to win, now get in, join the masses,
Not my fault, lads and lasses
Welcome to the vault!
Yeah, welcome to the vault!
To the vault!
Oh dear, oh dear, my dear,
What are we having here,
A change of clothes, different coats,
Uniformity please, tied to the leash,
What kind of senseless hell,
Are you trying to reach?
You're all one thing to me,
So don't try and be dastardly,
Don't whine, no time, sunshine
I've got too much on my mind,
You're gettin' me all worked up,
With your crying,
You're all lying,
One percent,
Of the establishment,
My patience went,
Yeah, It's all spent, so
Move, move,
One step, two step, then another,
Nothin' left to discover, and,
We all want to be outside lookin' in,
But boy, your luck was wearin' thin,
Born to win, now get in, join the masses,
Not my fault, lads and lasses,
Welcome to the vault!
Yeah, welcome to the vault!
To the vault!
It's not my fault!
Welcome to the vault!

My entry to the SSC7 Sample Challenge, where we had to create a song with a pre-created sample, which was simple enough to be flexibly used in practically anything (which I appreciated).
The sample gave me the vibes of a factory setting, so I thought I'd write something about a dystopia where basically everything is a product on a factory line, even the people in control of it, with some healthy commentary on conformity and tunnel-vision. Products all the way down, and all that. Purely fictional, of course.. totally.. heh heh.. heh.
Enjoyed this one far more than the poetry challenge! Knew from the start that I wanted to do a post-punk track for the next challenge, (even before it was announced), because I hadn't really made one for SSC yet, despite it being my bread and butter. You're seeing the tip of the iceberg now, but this one swallowed up a ton of credits, I can say that much. Really satisfied with the end result though!
Oh and there's a string quartet in it for some reason
