Steel on My Skin
A dark, heavy, and ambient/melodic fusion of blues, trap, and R&B. Deep rolling 808s blend with gritty electric guitar riffs soaked in overdrive, bending notes that cry with raw emotion. The beat is slow and thunderous, around 80–90 BPM, with snapping snares, sharp hi-hats, and booming kick drums giving it a modern trap edge. Layer in mournful organ chords and atmospheric pads for depth. Vocals should be soulful, blues-inspired, dripping with pain and resilience, but delivered with the smooth phrasing of R&B. Themes of struggle, endurance, love lost, and redemption. The hook is hypnotic and melodic, with a call-and-response feel that echoes traditional blues roots but polished with contemporary trap/R&B production. The verses tell a story with grit and authenticity, while the chorus lifts into an anthemic, emotional release. Overall, the sound is moody, cinematic, raw, and powerful, perfect for late-night reflection or a smoky stage performance.

Lyrics
Verse 1
Got a suitcase full of miles,
And a heart that won’t sit still.
Every town pulls me closer,
But the road just bends my will.
I got fire in my chest,
And a weight I can’t unspin.
Every step’s another bargain,
With the steel upon my skin.
Chorus
I’m rollin’, I’m burnin’,
Through the night, through the din.
I keep losin’, keep learnin’,
With the steel on my skin.
Verse 2
I’ve been choking down my hunger,
Tasting rust inside my veins.
The bottle keeps me steady,
But it never kills the pain.
I got voices at the table,
But I dine alone within.
Every deal feels like thunder,
Striking steel on my skin.
Chorus
I’m rollin’, I’m burnin’,
Through the night, through the din.
I keep losin’, keep learnin’,
With the steel on my skin.
Bridge
There’s no prayer in the wires,
No comfort in the flame.
I keep chasing down the fire,
But it always knows my name.
Chorus
I’m rollin’, I’m burnin’,
Through the night, through the din.
I keep losin’, keep learnin’,
With the steel on my skin.
Outro
Yeah, the steel on my skin…
The steel on my skin.
