Verse 1

How sweet the joy of a day walking with my Jesus,

From dawn until the evening light, my heart is full and free.

Just like being with the one my soul holds dear,

The world’s haste seems to stop, and time stands still for me.

A beautiful fragrance fills the very air I breathe,

And all I see around me now is lovely.

Verse 2

My dearest Jesus, the Shepherd of my soul,

Listens to the quiet whispers that I pour out to Him.

He smiles with joy, and He delights in being near,

His tender arms of comfort chase away the dim.

When I am weary, He renews my strength with grace,

My everlasting gladness is found in His embrace.

Verse 3

Though trials of this world may press and surround me,

I will not let go His hand, I will follow till the end.

My King, my Hope, my Savior, on whom I cast my cares,

Through His abundant mercy, my weary spirit mends.

Until I see His face in that bright eternal home,

Forever with my Lord, I will walk and never roam!
