Alarm rings loud, it feels the same

Painted smiles hide yesterday's pain

Friends moving fast, while I'm stuck in place

Counting clouds through a window frame

It's all okay, that's what I say

Paper walls, they bend, they sway

Held together with tape and glue

Hoping no one sees right through

Do you ever feel like paper walls?

Standing up but scared they'll fall

Barely holding up at all

Just waiting for that final call

My therapist says I'm doing fine

Guess I’m good at reciting lines

Late-night drives, chasing peace of mind
