hodam po žicama i tragovima,
umotana senkama iza mene
koje progone moja tiha skrovišta.
Bezvremena borba svetla i senke,
dobro u meni još preživljava;
tama puzi iz ćoška,
traži da u mom životu napravi gnezdo.
Uvek sluga,
nikad gospodar…
života…
„Osvetli nesvesno!“
viče bezdan u meni;
a radost odgovara tiho:
„Ne daj da te povuku!“
Moli, savij se, prilagodi,
spremi, pomozi, pokori se;
razapni sebe do pucanja,
dok ti sva snaga ne klone.
Tek tad napokon vidiš
šta kralj laži želi da otme.
