A Dark Symphonic Christmas production in the spirit of The Kyiv Opera’s full-scale Christmas Broadway staging, inspired by “Carol of the Bells / Shchedryk.” Minor key, relentless repetition. Opens with a massive pipe organ, loud carillonneur, and a bourdon bell in 4/4, striking every third measure inside a vast cathedral. TSAR BELLS strike twice in the intro with earth-shaking weight, reinforced by Big Ben–style bells tolling monumentally. Immediate wall of sound, then controlled tension. SATB mixed choir in chant-like, stacked harmonies with formal voice leading. Low strings dominate, icy high violins cut sharply. Church bells, tubular bells, timpani, and deep ceremonial percussion drive an ominous ritual pulse. Sacred, majestic, dark winter ritual atmosphere.
