In these days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, I feel a powerful call that goes beyond a regular teaching or lesson. It is more than words on a page; it feels like an urgent diagnosis of where we stand as a people and what is required for our redemption. The truth is clear: Israel’s future is not in military strength or political maneuvering but in its spiritual health and unwavering faith in God.

I cannot ignore how easily we invest our energy in polls, elections, and endless debates. But all of this is nothing more than grinding water. We know the past and the present, but only the Creator of the World shapes the future. That realization changes everything. When I hold onto that truth, I understand that the coming of the Messiah is the real horizon ahead, and no election result will alter that.

The message that grips me most is about unity. The fractures among us are deep and dangerous. Protests, which claim to be about the hostages, too often become a source of division that weakens us and strengthens our enemies. It feels like outside forces—nations that want chaos—are pouring money into these divisions. Yet the deepest responsibility rests not with the secular but with the religious. If the faithful truly returned in repentance, the rest would follow. That means repentance must be more than outward ritual; it must be a transformation of the heart.

The warnings are stark. Egypt and Jordan are not allies to be trusted but states filled with spies. Around the world, nations that oppose Israel invite judgment, and disasters will strike them in ways that only God controls. In this dark landscape, I believe our leaders must be seen not just as politicians but as vessels through which divine will can move. And our role is to pray for them, left and right alike, so that their success is not theirs but a channel of God’s plan.

What gives us power is not our fists or our votes but our mouths. The Jew’s strength is in prayer, in words of blessing, in study. The story of Moses striking the rock instead of speaking to it still rings today. Had he spoken, redemption would have come. That lesson burns: speech, prayer, and words of holiness unlock miracles. Anger and force never will.

So here we stand at the crossroads. We are besieged by enemies without and divided within. The solution is not another political strategy but a complete turn to God, a radical shift from the temporal to the spiritual. Repentance, prayer, and faith in divine sovereignty—these are the tools of survival, the path to redemption.

I believe with all my heart that the fate of our people rests in our ability to rise above division, abandon false hopes in human plans, and embrace the eternal strength of unity and repentance. That is the path forward, and it belongs to every one of us.
