阿嫲的情书 Grandma's Love Letter
Taiwanese Indie Folk Acoustic, warm and nostalgic atmosphere, moderate tempo around 72–78 BPM. Gentle fingerpicked acoustic guitar as the emotional foundation, accompanied by subtle harmonica melodies and sparse light piano textures. Intimate singer-songwriter style with restrained emotion and organic dynamic flow. Soft aged female vocal with authentic Taiwanese diction, breathy fragile tone, natural imperfections and emotional warmth. Minimal arrangement with cinematic lo-fi ambience, vintage bittersweet mood, close-mic recording feel, subtle room reverb, quiet rainy-night atmosphere, emotionally intimate and reflective. No violins, no orchestral swell, no heavy percussion. Emphasis on storytelling, silence, breathing space, and emotional realism.

Lyrics
特别感谢我的师父Alren帮我修润闽南歌词。
Recently, I came across the tagline of the movie Letters to Grandma: “Though rivers and seas stretch for thousands of miles,
with you in my heart, the distance no longer feels far. .” It reminded me of my grandmother who has passed away, and the person she once truly loved in her younger days. I realized that some kinds of love are never spoken out loud, yet stay in someone’s heart for a lifetime. So I wrote this song, Grandma’s Love Letter, for everyone who misses their grandma.
Special thanks to my mentor, Alren, for helping refine the Hokkien lyrics and bringing more warmth and authenticity to the song.

Night wind softly blows
Streetlights shimmer down the road
Grandma sits beside the window
Watching somewhere far away
Grandma sits beside the doorway
Quiet when the daylight fades
In her hands an old worn notebook
She turns the pages night to night
There’s a faded photograph there
Hidden in the middle page
Someone from her younger years now
A name she says she can’t recall
Years keep slowly passing by
Youth keeps drifting far away
But there’s still a single sentence
Never left her heart behind
Grandma’s love letter
Lines she never finished writing
Every word still
Holds the sorrow of her young days
Grandma’s love letter
Hidden for so many winters
Loving someone
Can last your whole life long
Now my grandma walks much slower
Needs somebody by her side
Still she reads that old worn notebook
Every day a few more times
Sometimes she no longer knows me
But she knows that photograph
Like the hands of time could never
Take those younger days away
That one night the wind kept blowing
Rain kept falling without end
Then I learned that some departures
Never really leave at all
There’s a kind of missing someone
No one sees how deep it runs
Hidden for so many decades
Hurting for a lifetime long
Grandma’s love letter
Lines she never finished writing
Now I finally
Understand what love can carry
Grandma’s love letter
Now it’s mine to keep and read
Some kinds of love
Stay forever in the heart
Outside that old streetlight
Still it shines the way it did
Just like grandma’s younger days
Never truly disappeared
