Ten years went into a single device

A crude tool inserted through the nose,

It looked absurd, but it worked

until V5 could finally reach practical use

It didn’t make me wiser

It just gave more room to think

With a wider view,

I could hold opposing views at once

対立する意見も同時に持てるようになった

The world didn’t become simpler

I just stopped forcing it to be

With space enough to hold,

the world revealed its depth

世界が単純になったわけではない

ただ無理に単純化するのをやめただけだ

充分な思考空間ができたことで

世界の奥行きが見えてきた

What the world truly is,

the depth of thought we can reach,

because it takes space to think it through

世界が本当にどういうものか

私たちが到達できる思慮の深さ

考えるには 充分な余白が必要だったのだ

The device spread quietly through the world

Worn as naturally as a pair of glasses

It expanded the capacity of thought itself,

allowing more perspectives to coexist

その装置は静かに世界中に広まった

人々は眼鏡のように自然に身につけた

思考そのものの容量を拡げ

より多くの視点を共存させることができた

Differences no longer felt like threats

People could see why others believed as they did

Even without agreeing, they could understand

the path that led them there

違うということが もはや脅威ではなくなった

なぜ他人がその信念を持つのか 見えるようになった

同意はできなくても

その考えに至る道すじを理解できた

It didn’t replace anyone’s thinking

It simply made space beside it

without pushing their own away

他者の視点も存在できた

自分の考えを押しのけることなく

People stopped inheriting ready-made worlds

They learned to question what was given

Instead of living inside borrowed answers,

they began to think for themselves

人々は既成の世界観を鵜呑みにすることをやめた

与えられたものを 問い直すことを学んだ

借り物の答えで生きるのではなく

自分で考えることを始めた

The world didn’t become kinder

It simply came into clearer focus

People could look at a stranger

and imagine them as family

世界が優しくなったわけではない

ただ 解像度が上がっただけだ

見知らぬ誰かのことを

自分の家族だと 心から想像できた

Different nations, different beliefs,

yet they could feel the same humanity

and even love one another

異なる民族 異なる信念でも

同じ人間なんだと感じて

愛することができるようになった

Humanity didn’t become wise or holy

We’re still foolish, still immature, still the same

We haven’t become pure or innocent

人類が賢者や聖人になったわけではない

まだ愚かで 未熟で 同じままだ

純粋にも無垢にもなってはいない

But our view grew just a little wider

With that small expansion of thought,

we can imagine better futures—

and maybe, slowly, bring them closer

I want to keep thinking

ただ 視野が少しだけ広がった

その思考のわずかな拡大で

より良い未来を想像し

少しずつ現実に近づけていけるかもしれない
