so i know i said i wasn't gonna make anything for a bit but i still got daily credits to spend on an alt and i don't want that shit to go to waste
i got sick of instrumentals and just slapped the first lyrics i could find in yesterday to burn my credits before reset
this one was pretty good so i then edited the fuck out of it to the point where i have listened to it so many times i don't even know if it is good anymore
this issue could be greatly mitigated if their product was not such a piece of shit, didn't fuck up so much in the first place, and edited cleanly when you do have to fix something
but on a somewhat related note, the freebie trick absolutely still works. it didn't work for me for like 6 days in a row but then yesterday and today i got 4 and 3 freebies respectively, 4 is the most i have ever gotten
in case you don't know, what you do is when you have 10(or 15) credits left and you are about to make your last song, you just click the button as fast as you possibly fucking can and sometimes you get free ones. it is that simple
so after all the editing i had 15 credits so i made a persona with it and used 4.5+ to regenerate it with that persona, with 3 freebies i got 8 songs and they all sucked
personas do not work the same in 4.5 as they do in v4. if you persona a song in v4 and you regenerate it with that persona(with same styles and lyrics) you will get very very very very close to the same song with slight variations in quality and sometimes random fuckups. in my experience, with v4 if you use a persona to make a different song it just sucks and it sucks at singing it is flat and boring.
with 4.5 you will get a lot more variance from the base song, it keeps a lot of it but it will vary it a lot more, and it seems to work a lot better with making different songs besides from the one that you made the persona with
the whole thing is stupid though, and that is what i want to bring this back to: i shouldn't have to do all this bullshit to make the product generate a decent output
if these tricks are necessary they should be baked in, and i shouldn't have to fuck with it at all.
i don't know about you, but i would gladly trade time and credits for assured quality. if every generation cost 30 credits and took 10 minutes to generate, but i knew both of the songs were not gonna have any quality issues or any fuckups? i would take that all day.
i would take 50 and an hour because that would still be better than what it is now, which is usually hundreds of credits and several hours, and the several hours are me working, not it generating while i do something else
it completely defeats the purpose of trying to work on other shit when just spending my daily credits sucks me into an hours-long endeavor. this is my own fault.
