Lyrics
Verse 1
The night is quiet, stars above
I feel the pull of all our love
I see your shadow in the moonlight
And feel your warmth all through the night
Pre-Chorus 1
Time won’t break what we hold inside
I can’t let go, I won’t hide
Chorus
I’ll never let go
Through the dark and through the storm
I’ll keep you close
Forever safe and warm
No matter where we are
I’ll never let go
Never let go
Verse 2
I see your smile in every dream
The way we laughed, the way we seemed
To know each other, soul to soul
Your memory makes my broken whole
Pre-Chorus 2
Though the miles may try to divide
I feel your heart right by my side
Chorus
I’ll never let go
Through the dark and through the storm
I’ll keep you close
Forever safe and warm
No matter where we are
I’ll never let go
Never let go
Verse 3
The morning comes, the shadows fade
I find my courage, unafraid
I’ll stand for love, I’ll fight, I’ll show
My heart is yours, I’ll never go
Instrumental
Emotional melodic guitar solo, soaring but restrained, with echo and light harmonies, duration ~8–12 seconds, perfect for a dramatic 80s ballad feel
Final Chorus
I’ll never let go
Through the dark and through the storm
I’ll keep you close
Forever safe and warm
No matter where we are
I’ll never let go
Never let go
Outro
Never… let go…
