A broken clown with dreams that choke.

I grew like weeds between the stones,

Fighting demons in flesh and bones.

I dreamed of love, a kid in my arms,

A quiet life, far from harm.

But time said no, slammed the door,

Now I’m 51 and dreams don’t knock no more.

Married too late, the years just ran,

Now I’m just a man with an empty plan.

But still I rise, scream fire in the rain,

Each scar I wear, I wear like chain.

No kids of blood — but kids of sound.

Each word I drop shakes the ground.

If I can’t pass on flesh and name,
