Now here’s a little story I’ve got to spin,
About a hobbit with a pipe and a mischief grin.
Verse 1
He lived in the Shire where the green grass grows,
With furry little feet and a button nose.
He liked good ale and second breakfast too,
A quiet little hole with a round-door view.
One peaceful hobbit I be,
All by myself with my pantry tea.
The kettle’s whistlin’, the bread is hot,
But destiny came knockin’ right on the spot.

Knockin’ at the door was a wizard so tall,
Said, “Pack up, Bilbo, you’re bound to brawl.”
Behind him came dwarves with a clatter and cheer,

We’ll dodge these trolls and we’ll climb that tree.
It’s not a tough decision as you can see,
You can fight like Thorin or you can sneak with me.”
So I crept through the night with the dwarves in line,
The road was long but the ale was fine.
Did it like this, did it like that,
I fooled Smaug once with a clever chat.

So we’re on the run, the elves got the wine,
But right about now it’s adventure time.
Bilbo Baggins, that is my name,
And I found the Arkenstone, brought it to fame.
We rode for six weeks till we hit the spot,
The Battle of the Five Armies was hot.
Swords were clashin’, the arrows did fly,
But I slipped through quiet, unseen by the eye.
