I once entrusted longing to the dusk’s embrace

To winds that never know the way back home

We walked two paths, no trust to trace

But still my soul quietly drifts alone

We stay silent midst the world’s loud roar

Writing stories, yet forgetting the name

You paint your dreams, I pray for more

While time itself won’t take the blame

But still there is you, among the almost lost

Like paper boats not sunk, but gently tossed

Floating slow through rushing streams of time

Not yet sunk, nor reached the harbor line

I almost let go of all my hopes that day

Yet your smile makes my heart trip and stray

Not from a longing too heavy to bear

But ‘cause you’re close then vanish in thin air

If someday you find your harbor shore

And I keep sailing words forevermore

Will we greet, or just forget?

Or fade away without regret?

But still there is you, in the silence I know

Like verses in poems that never quite close

You may never come, nor fully leave

Yet you remain in all I believe

That paper boat still sails unbroken

Through rain and night’s quiet token

I know...

Still there is you.
